PostgreSQL with In-Memory Computing: Faster Transactions and Analytics
Denis Magda is a fierce open source fanatic who started his journey in Sun Microsystems as an open source ambassador and presently settled down at Apache Software Foundation where he is taking a role of Vice President of the Apache Ignite PMC. He is an expert in distributed systems and platforms who actively contributes to Apache Ignite and helps companies and individuals deploy it for mission-critical applications. You can be sure to come across Denis at conferences, workshop and other events sharing his knowledge about the use cases, best practices, and implementation tips and tricks on how to build efficient applications with in-memory data grids, distributed databases and in-memory computing platforms including Apache Ignite and GridGain.
Apart from his open source pursuits, Denis earns for living as the Director of Product Management at GridGain Systems. Before joining GridGain, Denis worked for Oracle Inc. where he led the Java ME Embedded Porting Team -- helping bring Java to IoT.

Learn how to boost performance 10x and scale to over million transactions per second with in-memory computing.
It will be shown how to add speed and scale to your PostgresQL-based applications, APIs and analytics for different use cases. We will discuss when each option makes sense, as well as how to evolve your architecture over time to add the speed, scale, agility and new technologies needed for digital transformation and other initiatives.
By the end of this session, you will understand: - How to adopt in-memory computing technologies such as Apache Ignite and GridGain to add speed, scale and agility.
How to set up PostgreSQL with Apache Ignite including connecting, creating the in-memory schema, importing the data, and handling SQL requests directly without changing your application
Handling PL/SQL and other PostgreSQL features with advanced in-memory computing alternatives.
