Cloud computing presents many new and exciting opportunities for businesses, including compute liquidity across geographies, faster time-to-market, and dynamic cost structure. However, along with these benefits come new threats and risks. These include threats relating to security and confidentiality, operational risks and legal risks. This talk discusses the threat model that Goldman Sachs considered when leveraging the public cloud, and the approach taken to mitigating these threats through technical controls.

Kai Huang has 11 years of experience working in both attack and defense side of security arena, and she is a technical contributor to the GS secure extension to the public cloud. She is focusing on security engineering in her current role as part of the Cloud Platforms team at Goldman Sachs.
