PostgreSQL Practices in China

Grant is a Canadian resident and the founder of Highgo Software North America, where he leads the company's PostgreSQL development team consisting of members from both North America and China. In addition to his role at Highgo, he serves as the secretary of the International Consultant Committee for the PostgreSQL China Association and is the Organizer & Asia Liaison at PostgresConf.
Prior to his current position, Grant worked for over a decade at Alcatel-Lucent (Nokia), where he gained extensive experience in high availability, real-time telecommunication systems, database technologies, and Unix/Linux programming.
Under Grant's leadership, the Highgo team recently announced the release of the first version of IvorySQL, an open-source database that includes Oracle compatibility features built on PostgreSQL. IvorySQL can be accessed at IvorySQL.org.
I will give the Community an overview of the PostgreSQL ecosystems in China, and introduce the COPU, China PostgreSQL Association organizations to the community for the connections to China. Also, I will present the PostgreSQL technical practices and trends in China. China PostgreSQL Association welcomes PostgreSQL contributors, corporations to extend their influences to China and the Association will be a bridge for the international connections on PostgreSQL industry.
