Ivan leads the product team at VMware working on Greenplum and also regularly meets with Greenplum users around the world, learning from the users and sharing his experience. Outside of work, Ivan lives in California and enjoys swimming, walking and learning yoga.
In this digital era, organizations heavily rely on data to make informed decisions day in and day out. Data-driven decision-making has become a norm in many organizations. Real-time analytics helps organizations make business-critical decisions which helps them to lower their TCO and also to stay ahead of their competition in the market. However, due to the increasing volume of data being generated by these organizations, it is becoming extremely difficult to manage the huge volume of data with OLTP databases ultimately leading to slower query processing.
To overcome this limitation, Greenplum was created. Greenplum is an open-source database software based on open-source PostgreSQL database technology with Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) architecture that supports next-generation data warehousing and large-scale analytics processing. In this talk, we will explore more about Greenplum and its powerful capabilities.
