Michael has various apps on the app store and in development. While not programming, Michael enjoys teaching, entrepreneurship, outdoor sports, traveling, cooking, and desperately trying to make people laugh.​

As technology becomes a bigger part of our lives, so does our power to affect people’s lives: not always for the better.

Technology can be a life saver, (i.e. the Maps app), but there has been an increase in cases where technology has done irrefutable damage to its users. Despite intending to connect people and serve as a positive resource, technology side effects that must be addressed.

Technology is inherently addicting. Furthermore, there are APIs that help software engineers increase the addictiveness of their software. What can we do as engineers to use this power for good?
