No video of the event yet, sorry!

The most innovative companies today are actually data companies masquerading as something else. The rise of the "data team" has made it possible to investigate questions that couldn't have even been asked just a few years ago. In this talk, Periscope Data CEO Harry Glaser will share his observations from working with more than 1,000 teams of data leaders, and explain why data leaders need a seat at the executive table.

Glaser will highlight what's changed in the last few years to create this new emerging group of data professionals, and explain the best ways to enable "citizen data scientists." Those users should have access to data and the ability to discover new insights on their own, but they must first empower their data teams to curate the data, thereby ensuring its quality and accuracy. Glaser will also highlight the pitfalls that can result for businesses when data teams aren't given the authority to lead, and offer advice for companies who are just getting started in how to build a single source of truth for data.
